E20A Airbag

E20A Airbags have been specially designed to work with the ALH Systems System 3 flowstopping kit (our solutions are fully compatible with equipment from a wide range of manufacturers). Fully approved for use in the UK gas industry, E20A bags feature a central backbone that enhances strength and rigidity. They come in a full range of sizes, from 14″ to 48”. The outer cover is made from strengthened nylon material, designed to withstand debris from the host pipe. The E20A semi-supported bag offers a gas-free secondary seal for Iris Stop operations and large-diameter flow stopping. It features a bladder construction that meets GIS/E20 specifications. It is made from a triple-layer calendared natural rubber sheet and features a high-tenacity unproofed nylon cover. The bag has an extended neck and a backbone to eliminate the risk of a twisted bladder. All E20A bags are manufactured in the UK in accordance with GIS/E20A.

What is Flowstopping?

Flowstopping is a safe, easy-to-use, and cost-effective system for maintaining, repairing, and modifying low-pressure distribution networks while preserving continuity of supply. The entire procedure is totally gas-free, carried out through an arrangement of valves, and utilises airbags to create a seal to prevent the flow of gas beyond the airbag.
